What Is the Hands United World Record Challenge?
Hands United is a historic world record attempt created to showcase the power of touch, healing, and unity in the massage therapy community.
In one powerful, synchronized moment, we will bring together thousands of participants to attempt:
The Longest Massage Chain – a continuous line of people massaging the person in front of them.
The Largest Group Massage – thousands of participants massaging at the same time in a guided experience.
Why We’re Doing This
Massage therapy has transformed millions of lives — yet our profession doesn’t always receive the visibility or recognition it deserves. Hands United was created to change that.
Highlight the value and impact of massage therapy on wellness and mental health.
Showcase diversity within the profession, including Black and Brown practitioners and business owners.
Unite therapists, students, and supporters from across states, schools, and backgrounds.
Create a powerful story the public and media can connect with.

What We Know (So Far)
We’re still in the planning and approval phase, but here’s what we can share now:
Location: A large venue in North Carolina, USA (final venue TBD).
Timing: Planned for Fall 2026 (exact date announced soon).
Records: Longest Massage Chain and Largest Group Massage, under Guinness World Records guidelines.
Who Can Participate: Massage therapists, massage students, wellness professionals, and supportive community members.
Safety & Standards: On-site waivers, EMT, clear instructions, and a focus on professional, clothing-on massage.
We’re collecting interest now so we can show venues, sponsors, and Guinness that the massage community is ready to make history.
